Fun and games in the south.

After a much needed layover of a day.  Chalk it up to old age.  We have come to the conclusion that we will not make Savannah in time so we had to rethink. We are still ever forward not knowing where life totally will take us.  The scooter developed a problemt his last leg.  The speedomater cable broke.  We ca not see how fast we are going.  So Ron called the only store that was open.  It happened to be Phoenix where we had scooter trouble before.   we are going there to get one.
This is our beginning yesterday.  rain buckets of rain.  And then just as we started the scooter sputtered and sputtered and died.  Then again it sputtered refused to get up and go like a stubborn mule.

Ron checked.  Sure enough it was a spark plug.  A truly black thing,  After putting on a shiny new one and us getting our gloves soaked and our hands a bit blackened ;We were able to start off.  And by the way rosemary cleans off grease.  There happened to be a plant  near by and I scrubbed my hands with it and of course plenty of water from a mud puddle.
This is  before setting off.  Little did I know the fun We were to have.  The fixing done on the scooter we zipped toward the freeway.  well you could say that.  we followed the GPs and we were in for a fun ride.  We thought for sure it was nuts and I am not so sure it isn't.We finally found the right freeway and then the fun began.  If you have never come here to dear old Sacramento and taken the freeway you are in for a treat.  I have never found a more confusing freeway.

The rain stopped somewhere near Fresno.  We stopped for a much needed break at a truck stop where the Mexican food was plentiful and nothing else.  but for a starving very cold couple people it was a treat.  The company was good too.  I guess  people like to talk to us,  They wonder what were up too.  a group of mexican men were very interested and very nice.
This  is where we ended up in the middle near the freeway another stop but as you can see cloudy but dry.
